August Leadership, previously known as Ward Howell, required a brand revamp. A new identity that would better communicate the brand’s core values.

About August Leadership

Previously known as Ward Howell, August Leadership is a C level recruitment company based in New York, USA. They are a group of experts who specialize in finding people from different backgrounds and countries for their clients. August Leadership has a diverse search term and has helped various businesses find the right candidates and partners. Their clients range from start-ups to global multinationals.

Challenges

In September 2019, August Leadership revamped its brand which was then launched in January 2020. They chose to rebrand themselves because they wanted an identity that would better reflect their values and philosophy.

WeUno worked with August Leadership closely to come up with a new brand identity, guidelines, gave them general design support and also worked on their social media posts and website design.

Refurnishing the brand according to their values and principles meant introducing themselves to the market all over again. August Leadership wanted their new persona to demonstrate and display everything they do and stand for.

Our Solution

When working on August Leadership’s identity, we made sure to focus on their wordmark, typography, monogram, colors and the logotype. The main wordmark was based on the two main colors of the brand – black and gold. The secondary wordmark was based on the four main colors of the brand – black, white, blue and gold.
