About Bikesimizer is a social network and location tracking application for cyclists from all over the world. Our client wanted to create this application on a limited budget, so our team offered to develop a minimum viable product to find investors and expand the features of the project. Solution Firstly, we implemented the most valuable functions, such as tracking position, recording results, sharing users’ favourite paths, a news feed, and chat. When the project received investments, we created a microservices architecture to balance the load and increase performance. It is a great advantage for this project because it’s difficult to predict the load that should be exposed on the website. Result As a result, our team developed a cost-effective solution with microservices architecture, allowing us to scale the project further. We reduced costs for Bikesimizer maintenance after the launch and ensured profitable investments for the shareholders. Therefore, Bikesimizer stays commercially viable, and the number of users continues to grow.
