In a traditional classroom, the act of capturing where a student is in their learning (a.k.a. “the test”) is typically the end. It tells the student how they measured up and often predetermines their outcome across all the learning in the subject area. More and more educators are looking for a different approach, one that puts the emphasis on learning, one without marks to stifle it. Censeo supports that class. In the end, Censeo helps educators create learners. Learners who can go try new challenges, reflect on their outcomes, and use feedback to improve and succeed. Censeo is helping educators today create the problem-solvers for tomorrow. Context and Challenges The back end of the project was developed in .Net technology and the Front-End part was missing at the beginning of our collaboration with Cristi and his team. We were supposed to develop design from Sketch based on clients’ requirements. The collaboration process went smoothly and our team has no problem communicating and integrating all desired features. Innovative educators are working to create classroom environments where students take ownership of their learning, where the content is neither the beginning nor the end, but rather the vehicle through which the real skills and competencies are developed. To facilitate this, they know they need different tools. Censeo was developed to be that tool. Censeo enables educators and students to efficiently manage the collection of evidence and the critical next actions driven by descriptive feedback.
