Case

We celebrated Cat Day on August 7th, 2017 in order to interact with our community and increase the number of pet insurance quotes generated.

Goal

  • Increase the database of people who are interested in 100% online pet insurance in social networks.
  • Increase the number of sales of 100% online pet insurance originated in Facebook

Solution

Create a Facebook post that invited our community to comment and share International Cat Day. The piece had to break with the line of content that we were handling.

Execution

We published a milestone as a post on Facebook celebrating International Cat Day. In the content of the publication we shared a series of tips to take care of our pets and we also invited people to comment on the publication with a picture of their cat. The post achieved 4,555 reactions, 867 comments, 469 shares, 3,384 clicks and a reach of 84,089 organically in less than 3 days. We responded to people’s comments by telling them about the benefits of Pet Insurance and the importance of having it. The response included the URL of the online quote and that action generated 960 interested people and the sale of 20 100% online pet insurance policies.

Users shared their pet’s picture on the comments. They also showed great interest when we responded by telling them about the benefits of having Pet Insurance, generating a sort of voice to voice marketing of the brand with a positive and emotional consolidation.
