Animotion was approached by web design agency, Digital Rescue, to develop an animated explainer video to help them communicate their design process.

About the Project

Digital Rescue is a Melbourne-based web design agency. They have a unique approach to web development and follow an 8-phase process to ensure their client’s final website not only looks good but also performs. Their challenge was effectively communicating this design process to potential clients.

We knew through the power of video we could bring the process to life, and help them reduce the amount of time they were investing in each new prospect.


With a script already developed by the team at Digital Rescue, it was up to us to convert the script into video magic. We wanted to show how the web design process was a collaboration between the client and Digital Rescue, so the video focused on people working together and moving through the 8-steps. In sections throughout the video stock footage was used instead of animation to give the video a human element.


Since utilising the explainer video in their client onboarding process, Digital Rescue estimates that they save on average one hour for each new prospect. Illustrating that the advantages of video extend beyond just direct sales or clicks, but can also contribute to efficiencies elsewhere in a business.
