The task of the project was to develop a marketplace portal for a large market of Saudi Arabia, consisting of iOS and Android mobile applications, websites and an admin panel. Our customer’s need was to create an e-commerce platform. With this platform, a user can find the best prices for necessary goods among multiple sellers. Code Inspiration’s team developed the platform’s design from scratch: prototype, selection of fonts and colors, design, UI&UX. It was a great challenge to adapt the design for both English and Arabic versions of the mobile application due to the fact that the Arabic language has its own unique rules of writing in comparison with any other language. These rules of writing are considered to be non-standard and the team in fact had to create completely unique designs for both versions. The design team studied this aspect in detail and successfully created the necessary designs. The developed application has also free and paid subscription plans. With a paid subscription, a user becomes a member of the club and gets an unlimited number of searches, participation in monthly giveaways as well as a possibility to request a personal search – a manager will carry out a search and will provide s user with the best offer of the necessary product. With the created mobile applications and website, representing a complex search engine for online products, our customer managed to enter the extremely competitive e-commerce market of Saudi Arabia.
