The Feelcapital online tool allows investors, easily and independently of their knowledge, to take control of their money and perform transactions without the cost of private banking. The platform was born to make the world of investment funds a better place. Challenge One of our client’s main challenges was the outdated design and lack of functionality that created an inconvenient user experience. The initial platform was built with an outdated version of Angular and Node.js, so solution maintainability was another challenge. The client’s platform was developed on Node.js v0.10 technology, which caused many complications including date drivers that were not up to date. Users encountered complications with its login option with a new version of Node.js, so additional testing was required. The complete platform redesign was the first stage in adding functionality to the platform. Solution The Eliftech team, together with a client, decided to move from outdated Angular.js to the newest version of React.js to ensure platform maintainability and project support. The Node.js version was updated to v8.0.0 to be compatible with the new front-end framework. We also updated the drivers to start the project. The Eliftech team performed the full redesign of the user and admin parts of the platform as well as the Feelcapital blog. We also made the migration of coupons inside the application for integration into the payment system. Additionally, we changed the back-end functionality for implementing a new flow for the payment system. To ensure the reliability of new functions (including trial periods and coupons), the Eliftech team implemented a test strategy. Results We have fully redesigned the Feelcapital platform with a mobile-first approach and added functionality, including the ability to manage subscriptions. We also improved the new flow for the payment system. Moreover, users received new options such as the ability to download CSV format files. After the successful platform redesign, we continued our collaboration with the client and are providing a dedicated team for platform maintenance and ongoing features development.
