About UK Space Agency and Satellite Applications Catapult

The UKSA is responsible for all strategic decisions on the UK civil space program and provides a clear, single voice for UK space ambitions. Satellite Applications Catapult is a not-for-profit technology accelerator, whose primary goal is to build the UK economy in space through projects around the world aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Challenge

Our customer needed a software delivery partner that could work with them in parallel to develop a platform to help detect illegal gold mining around the world. They were looking for expertise in front-end development and data visualization, as well as a good grasp of end-user needs. The customer had worked with other partners in the past without much success, and this time they wanted a team that could provide engineering skills as well as critical and strategic thinking.

Solution

Celerik had a key role in the success of the project. Celerik built the front end interface for customers, visualizing satellite complex data in an easy-to-use way and integrating seamlessly with the customer and consortium team members.
