About the Client

Mario’s Barber Hair Salon is a premium service salon established in 1978. The shop offers professional hair and facial services for men and women. Conveniently located in Rochester Hills, the salon provides a warm, family-friendly atmosphere whilst performing precise and high-quality haircuts, trims, razor shaves, skin treatments, and more. Its loyal customers come for an ultimate grooming experience.

The Challenge

Despite being in the business for nearly four decades, this well-loved hair salon didn’t have its own website. Although they have consistent loyal customers, they couldn’t attract new ones without an online presence. The payment option was also limited to cash. With cashless transactions on the rise, the salon is losing customers who prefer a credit card and other digital payments. Being in a competitive fast-growing industry made it difficult for Mario’s Barber Hair Salon to keep up with new salons and barbershops that use digital marketing to promote their business.

Our Digital Solutions

To claim Mario’s Barber status as one of the most trusted barber shops, the very first solution we did was to establish a user-friendly, comprehensive, and innovative website for them. Knowing that many barbershops incorporate digital marketing in their business strategies, we needed to make sure we have the best elements to create a functional, search engine optimized, and sophisticated website design.

We came up with a website that embraces the elegance of black color and a vintage theme, dominating the header and footer sections. We also applied consistency in the colors, font styles, and navigation with its logo design to ensure a consistent user experience and to reinforce its brand identity.

The homepage of Mario’s Barber Hair Salon’s website has simple yet significant elements that speak well of what the brand can offer. We included the most important information in just one look – their services, history, creative team, and even a Google Map direction of their shop location.

We made sure to include images that are clear and of high-quality along with engaging CTAs on important sections of their website. The website also integrates social media to further improve its brand awareness campaigns.

We also set them up with an online appointment system where their customers can conveniently make appointments with a click of a button rather than calling into the salon. Appointments can now be made after work hours, whereas in the past their customers had to wait for open business hours to make a phone call.

Setting up a Facebook account for Mario’s Barber Hair Salon was our second solution to help establish their online presence. We crafted appealing and action-inducing social media posts to start building its followers and boost their organic reach.

To fully equip the salon’s digital marketing, we’ve installed credit card processing equipment allowing them to accept debit and credit cards as a form of payment. Their POS machine keeps track of all of their transactions and purchases freeing the owners of accounting work. This saves so much time and eliminates errors, making sure each transaction is safe, secure, and convenient.

The Outcome

With the holistic approach we did in building Mario’s Barber Hair Salon, the shop is now able to promote their brand across the web. It has significantly improved its reach and enhanced its business growth as it has now appeared in Yelp’s Best 10 Barber Shops in Rochester Hills and on the first page of Google search.

With an established online presence, Mario’s Barber Hair Salon is now reaching more potential customers and even increasing its number of new customers by 40%  each month. They also enjoy an 82% increase in sales from credit card payments.
