About the Project: The client came to Euristiq to develop a smart bike rental system, that had no similar solutions on the market, from the ground up. Main Challenge(s): Due to the fact that the client did not have an existing system, Euristiq had to figure out how to develop a scalable systems architecture under tight time constraints. Agency Solution(s): Tablets were integrated into the handlebars of the bicycle design, which allows users to easily plot their routes while sending data regarding location of bicycles back to GoBike via backend. The tablets also inform riders where the closest docking station is for their bicycle, and the number of available docking points. Results: The GoBike system went live 3 months after the design process, has more than 200,000 users, and more than 1.5 million trips.
