Blue Shield of California needed a modernized site that accurately represents their brand, while also requiring a dramatic effect to incentivize people to come in for free preventative care visits.

About the Project:

Blue Shield of California needed a modernized site that accurately represents their brand, while also requiring a dramatic effect to incentivize people to come in for free preventative care visits.

Main Challenge(s):

To inform the most Californians of preventative measures toward protecting their health, and to convince enough people to make the potential switch by utilizing free preventative care visits. Additionally, the site needed to be enhanced/modernized to guide flow of traffic to critical areas of the website.

Agency Solution(s):

The website was redesigned to be as soft as possible, simply due to the fact that most people have mixed feelings about the doctor’s office, or hospitals in general. Soft blues and reds were chosen to emphasize the brand’s logo and color design, without seeming too overbearing.

Results:

Simplistic, minimal designs were created which fulfilled the job exceptionally. Designs were left simple, as well, to appeal to the largest demographic (e.g. a generic image of a woman was chosen to represent women from mid-20s to mid-life). The website was a success, and Blue Shield was happy with the results.
