A website platform geared to drive online sales by creating a fluid user experience combined with an on-going digital marketing strategy.

Unlock A Phone are the UK’s largest third-party mobile phone unlocking provider, offering IMEI unlocks for all major mobile phone carriers in the UK.

Well recognised and highly regarded for their unlocking solutions in-store, Unlock A Phone wanted to develop a web presence which effectively represented them, whilst exploiting the opportunity posed through digital marketing to grow their business.

We implemented a website platform geared to drive online sales by creating a fluid user experience combined with an on-going digital marketing strategy.

The platform developed had to seamlessly integrate with existing internal payment and CRM systems, both Paypal and HubSpot.

The Brief

Our brief for the digital platform was to:

  • Develop a strategy that enabled organic growth.
  • Facilitate inbound sales by creating a fluid user experience.
  • Provide features that compliment the customer support offered in-store.
  • Build facilities to cater to B2B customers.
  • Integrate with existing internal systems.

User Experience

IMEI unlocking is a potentially complex process for many of their B2C customers. Our primary goal throughout the user experience stage was to make it simple, with minimal effort in seeking information to reduce barriers in the conversion journey.

We surveyed existing customers to identify pain points and frequently asked questions, ensuring all questions are answered throughout the buying process.

Visual Design and Development

Our design creatively imagines features that simplify the buying process for customers, with the smart search taking a prominent position to create a quick and seamless browsing process.

Whilst including step by step instructions to educate the user, enhancing the chances of a conversion.

A secondary audience for the platform was the B2B customers, who are likely to visit regularly and require functions to streamline their journey.

Price lists and bulk buying services were developed for those who registered a B2B account, improving repeat business.

Integrated

An already established business with in-store payment processes and marketing tools, Unlock A Phone required the digital platform to communicate with both PayPal for payments and Hubspot for CRM.

We developed an integration between both platforms to minimise back-office admin hours.
