Challenges Pizza Forno believes that everyone deserves access to artisan-quality pizza, no matter what time of day or night it is. To provide pizza lovers throughout North America with the best pizza experience possible, they wanted an Android and iOS app that would act as a mobile extension of their automated pizza ovens. This would allow Pizza Forno to improve communication, marketing, and business processes, while also developing a seamless user experience to allow Pizza Forno to create an industry-wide “Pizzaruption.” Our Solution The first step of any journey is to define the destination and how to get there. Our expert team was tasked with building a streamlined yet feature-rich app. To get there, we held discussions with Pizza Forno to gain a deep understanding of their business goals and requirements. Through this process, we were able to implement a lean budget-friendly iterative approach that split development into three main phases. Phase 1. The first phase focused on creating a clean, intuitive design to simplify the pizza-discovery process and provide a communication pipeline. In this phase, the user journey is still very literal, and customers have to travel to nearby Pizza Forno locations to collect their orders. We cooked up an experience that was masterfully served to entice customers to step out of their homes and in front of an automated oven. Product availability and location information are delivered to the app through smart integration with Pizza Forno’s machines. Clearly designed UI and UX elements that have been optimized through user journey research help customers find the perfect oven location for them. And an information-rich sidebar gives customers an easy way to connect and communicate with the brand. Development We’re never satisfied with our products unless we’re offering fresh innovations, and we’ll always go that extra mile to deliver improvements and strategic insights We’re continuing with the second and third phases of development. At each juncture, we’ll keep on testing and improving on features to craft a seamless experience. We can’t wait to give users more reasons to love and continue to use the app. Results The Pizza Forno app is the perfect way for customers to find great pizza, anytime. By keeping things simple, we made it easy for hungry users to go from phone screen to pizza machine. And with future improvements on the way, it’s only going to get simpler and more rewarding from here!
