Sunlight Media LLC was selected to rebuild the PTVLA (Program for Torture Victims LA) website.

Main Challenge(s):

To create a site that is modern, responsive, and effective at informing those who need help from PTVLA, or who wish to share their stories on the website, and connect with other survivors.

Agency Solution(s):

The agency created a WordPress template solution that provides site visitors with information and resources regarding psychological counseling, outpatient care, legal help, and more. Sunlight Media LLC created a website they are proud of, that fulfills all the needs of PTVLA, and which is modern and informative.

Results:

The site will be released soon, and is expected to fulfill the needs of PTVLA.

Short project description

We needed to move our current website content onto a new template in order to freshen the look of our web presence.

Working with the agency

The owner of the agency was my primary point of contact and he fully understood our needs. He was incredibly prompt, professional, and thoughtful throughout all of our communications. He then moved me over to his web engineer, but the lines of communication across the board stayed tight. The agency moved our content over and worked with us until we felt we had a site that was to our liking. Where they could extend their expertise, they did, and where they were limited by the template, they explained our options so that we could build the best looking site we could.

Areas for improvement

Help us navigate/understand the future of maintaining the site after it has been set up. Help discuss what we should be prepared to do in order to keep the site up to date — i.e. keeping google maps up, managing updates on WordPress, and other unknowns for the non-tech.

Results

Very happy. Our site is really beautiful and members of the board that have been able to view the draft respond similarly.
