About the Project:

Guide Dogs, a charitable organization from the UK which assists the blind/partially blind, needed their website redesigned, as this is the main method of contact and information regarding the organization. The website needed a redesign mainly because the brand guidelines had recently changed, so the website needed to reflect this change as well.

Main Challenge(s):

The site’s accessibility needed to be increased, as the site is very important to serve their users, donators, and those who may need assistance. Another challenge was to inform the unreached public of the charitable services Guide Dogs offers.

Agency Solution(s):

The information architecture of the site was reworked to enhance the top level navigation system and key landing pages. The user experience and interface were enhanced as well, adding more visibility options (for the text) which included a contrast switcher, and text resizer.

Results:

Net Efficiency was able to greatly improve the user experience overall, but increased the editor’s experience through a bespoke workflow approval process. The team working on the project made sure to not negatively affect the thousands of pages, user logins, registration forms, and other content by utilizing the TYPO3 content management system.
