Bebenova’s E-commerce Transformation with Gauss Box

About Bebenova

Bebenova is a specialized online store for baby equipment, owned by the family company Inter-Trade Ltd. By constantly enriching its assortment with new and attractive items, Bebenova has been trying, with great love, to fulfil every wish its customers might have.

Overcoming Obstacles and Meeting Needs

The company wanted to improve its online presence and streamline its order fulfillment process. To achieve these goals, Bebenova decided to launch a new e-commerce website on the Gauss Box platform. When redesigning the website, we followed the client’s guidelines to create a modern and clear site. In the same manner, we shaped the online store where we focused on simple lines, neutral colors and breathability. By changing typography, colors and developing new features, we made the online store stand out from the competition. Apart from visual design, while shaping information architecture, we also paid special attention to defining categories. The Gauss Box e-commerce module provided Bebenova with a detailed overview of orders, which allowed the company to easily track and manage inventory in its internal warehouse. The platform also made it simple to follow the delivery of packages to customers.

Charting a Course for Success

Considering that Bebenova features over 3,000 products, which are distributed in over 400 categories, it was truly important to display products correctly on the online store so that customers could easily find their desired products. Within the navigation set-up, we added a dropdown menu with 9 categories, and within each category we added two levels of subcategories inside of which the products were distributed according to customer’s needs and priorities. For example, within the “Car seats” category we added the “Groups of car seats”, “Child’s age”, and “Car seat accessories” sub categories, so that all customers could find their desired products as fast and as easy as possible.

Elevate Your Shopping Experience: Discovering the Hidden Gems in a Collection with Visual Tags on Products

Following the client’s wishes, we developed a display of products that makes shopping truly easy for customers. Within the admin interface, we added an option where the client could add images (in the image below, there’s a children’s room), and by adding tags (pink circles), we enabled the client to display all of the products contained in the image. This approach makes shopping easier because a customer can have a visual representation of how an individual product looks in a room, and what other products it can be combined with – e.g. children’s room. Apart from that, such a display also affords the customer a quick view and purchase of a product.

We also developed an Instagram section for our client, where a visitor can see all the images customers have posted on their profiles if they added the hashtag “#bebenova”. To most customers, while shopping for an item, it is important to know what a product “really” looks like – in other words, what it looks like when being used. This feature, showing published images from happy customers, serves almost like a review and perfectly fits the redesigned shop.

Unwrap the Perfect Present

Finding the perfect gift can be time-consuming, so we created a feature for our client that helps streamline the process and make it easier to find the ideal present for little ones. The client can determine which attributes are most important to afford a customer a better search so that they can find suggested gifts faster. Within the back office, the client chooses which filters will be shown and, in this case, the client decided that the most important attributes for finding an ideal gift are:

  • a child’s age
  • their gender
  • the gift type
  • the gift occasion
  • a budget.

The customer can fill out all five values or just some, effectively narrowing or broadening their search. By entering desired values, products ideal for little ones will be suggested to them.

Fine-tuning and Refining

By following clients’ requests and adding additional touches and improvements, we are keeping the website up-to-date. By refining the back office, we are affording the client easier management in, what is for them, still a new interface. Considering future arrangements we have with the client, such as Google advertising, we are looking forward to further cooperation with them.
