WhistleNow! | Building the World’s First Anti-Corruption Mobile Platform

About the Project

WhistleNow! is a revolutionary mobile based application designed, developed and delivered by AlignMinds Technologies for Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Government of Kerala. We were tasked with developing a comprehensive solution for the public to inform the government authorities about corruption and scams happening in society. Due to its unprecedented nature of the task, we had to plan, execute and test each stages starting from conceptualization to deployment and maintenance, meticulously.

The Challenge

We had to develop a robust solution that facilitates the public to report an incident on a real-time basis, send notifications to the concerned authorities and the authority in charge to offer a solution for each incident. We identified the need for developing a comprehensive mobile based solution that is familiar and user-friendly.

The Solution

The solution developed by our team came with a wide range of features like District-Building the World’s First Anti-Corruption Mobile Platform-wise whistle count, facility to cast upvotes & downvotes, provision to add comments for a whistle, a user friendly and hassle-free navigation structure, push notification based on location on real-time basis, and a facility to upload any supporting evidence to validate the information shared, in the form of images, video, audio or document files. The notification feature we developed as a part of the solution helps the authorities to take note of each whistle and provide solutions for the same, whenever a new whistle is published.

Results

The collaboration between AlignMinds and Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau of Kerala Government gave birth to a new Kerala where the crime rate is under control and citizens enjoy a new sense of safety.
