Engine Digital announces appointment of Christine Poh to Director, User Experience, based in the agency’s Vancouver studio.

Engine Digital announces the appointment of Christine Poh to the role of Director, User Experience. She will report to the VP Strategy, Ryan Opina, and will be based in the agency’s Vancouver studio which recently relocated to Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant district.

This will be Poh’s second tenure with the agency. She joins a growing strategy team that has evolved into one of the agency’s leading practice groups, delivering work that spans data, user experience, product design, and customer experience.

“Having Christine step into this role at the agency is extremely important for us,” said Opina. “As we continue to scale the types of engagements and clients we work with, the perspective and leadership she brings back to Engine Digital only helps us continue to raise the bar on the work we are doing with our clients.”

As Senior UX Strategist at Engine Digital from 2012 through 2016, Poh was a lead on client accounts including Tory Sport, Kit and Ace, lululemon, Western Union, and Coast Capital. Her work led to several agency awards, recognizing innovation in the design of digital experiences, mobile apps, and e-commerce platforms.

Before her return to Engine Digital, Poh was Experience Lead at Green Stone. Earlier in her career, she held user experience roles at AKQA in San Francisco and Research In Motion.

“I’m excited to return to Engine Digital in this new role,” said Poh. “Coming back, after some time away, it’s exciting to see how the team has grown and how the work has evolved. I’m looking forward to what 2019 has in store for our agency.”

Poh is a graduate of the School of Interactive Arts & Technology (SIAT) at Simon Fraser University (SFU) — one of five SIAT graduates on the Engine Digital team. The agency has worked closely with the program over the years and continues to support new graduates entering the digital design industry.

In addition to Poh’s return, Engine Digital has seen significant growth of late, adding six team members across areas including Operations, Strategy, Design, and Engineering, supporting new client engagements that include TuGo, Rocky Mountaineer, Loloi Rugs, Fox Factory, and Mastercard.
