Trick, or Treat? A Halloween 2018 Infographic Share: TDA Date Published 31 October 2018 Categories Blog, Infographic Reading Time 2-Minute Read Halloween is finally here, and the veil between worlds is thin. Make sure your business is ready for this night of fright by checking out the National Retail Board’s infographic on Halloween habits in 2018. Halloween is a holiday celebrated by many across the world. It’s a night of fun for kids and adults alike, and some of my fondest memories come from this special day. Originally, Halloween came from the Celtic (Gaelic) holiday, Samhain, which was a day the Celts believed the veil between the world of the living and the dead was the thinnest. Today, many of the elements of the Samhain festival remain, including trick-or-treating, carving jack-o-lanterns and dressing in costume. However, the festival has become more secular over time and has become big business (although nothing in comparison to the Black Friday, and Christmas numbers). But these smaller numbers are nothing to fear! This infographic, courtesy of the National Retail Federation, shows how sweet Halloween will be this year. Enjoy the infographic, and Happy Halloween!
