Creating content that is engaging as well as SEO-friendly is a daunting task.

Appealing and engaging content serves as the basis of a successful digital agency. When engagement is aligned with SEO, both build upon each other’s mission. This alignment plays the most important role in flourishing technical SEO. There are a few tactics that can greatly impact the quality and SEO-friendly nature of your content.

Keyword Research

Keyword research is cliché. You need to do proper research in order to know about the right kind of volume and trends. The parent pages should chase the higher volume keywords and the lower pages should chase the lower-volume or long-tail keywords.

Related Keyword List

While doing keyword research, you will also discover many relevant keywords that will get results when implemented properly. Creating this keyword list may take time but it is vital for your overall SEO strategy and the broader content strategy.

Title Tags Should Be Engaging and Optimised

You may have the best piece of content, but no one will notice it until you have an attractive and engaging title/tags. The right title tag or headline takes less than 2 seconds to attract a customer.

Ideally, the title should include 60 characters and it must include targeted keywords. The title should do at least one of something.

  • It should explain how to do something
  • Establish credibility
  • Create curiosity
  • Command a benefit of a product/service/news headline
  • Engage the reader’s mind
  • Explain the idea of ‘why’

Writer’s Block Is Real

Writer’s block is real. Many may wonder what to do if it happens. No worries, it is just an excuse to not write. It delays the entire process of writing and you may end up missing your deadline.

A sudden break or gap from creating content amplifies this feel and sometimes, it is just related to a single topic or client. However, you can use this strategy to get back to your normal. Just sit down and start writing some random words. The physical process will initiate the flow of thoughts.

Here are a few tips.

  • Rewrite the title in order to create a paragraph
  • Write a few URL structures
  • Retype the related keyword list
  • Brainstorm some ideas and bullet points related to the topic

Organize Your Content

Whether it is 1000 words or 100 bullet points, it is important to organize your writing. Organizing your equations and thoughts can appeal to the reader’s mind and emotions.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • What do you want to achieve? What is your target position?
  • What is your motive behind writing this?
  • Why would you write it if you don’t have anything engaging in mind?

Start With Drafting

There is this 80/20 rule. Your 20 percent of efforts should be able to produce 80% results. Drafting can make your work easier. It will help you in cutting useless ideas and you will work aggressively with words.

Create a draft and edit it well.

  • Think 80/20.
  • Rewrite
  • Repeat
