The new coronavirus pandemic is causing several changes in the way we live, including an unplanned digital transformation. How shall we face this?

The new coronavirus pandemic is causing several changes in the way we live, including an unplanned digital transformation. This can be perceived, for instance, with the number of people who were not used to home officing and now have to be comfortable with it in order to maintain social isolation and prevent spreading the disease.

Looking for a digital agency? Post a Project

But wait, what does home officing have to do with digital transformation, if this has been already an old practice?

Well, the answer is EVERYTHING!

Let’s think: if the vast majority of people are obligated to work from home, tools are needed for that, right? And these resources need to be digital, don’t they?

Well, that´s the reason why companies that were not yet “awake” to the digital world needed to go through transformations and leave their comfort zone, in order to put technology as an ally in these difficult times.

These changes have no exclusive relationship with remote work

The necessary changes are not only related to adaptations to a new working environment, but also to the ways in which corporations communicate and make their product and/or service available to their consumers.

The time has come to get those old plans of digital insertion off the ground and jump in, taking advantage of all kinds of channels and resources possible to create new ways to continue in the market. Relationships are changing and anyone who doesn’t keep up will fall behind.

Innovation has been already foreseen

Despite the scare and difficulty that some companies are having in turning their processes into digital ones, we all already knew that this would be the future. The point is, when faced with the urgency of modernization, the corporations that were delaying these processes had nowhere else to run.

Will that be the end of the office?

The notorious “end of offices”, for example, had already been debated around the world for some years, even though, in a large list of countries, including Brazil, there is some resistance in accepting the idea that it is possible for employees to work even better in their homes, as long as they are inserted in the context of digital transformation, having access to all the necessary tools and resources, as well as the motivation and training to continue growing professionally in a different environment and away from their co-workers.

The pandemic will be temporary, but the digital transformation will not

To think that digital transformation is something that deserves attention only in the months of isolation is a great illusion. Once we emerge from the present crisis, it will come as a surprise to many people how much more dynamic their work and consumer relationships will be and, as a consequence, how processes and work will gain by opening up, once and for all, to these changes.

Therefore, the ideal situation and the tip we give is to take advantage of and see the mandatory isolation with a positive mindset, towards discovering golden opportunities and taking your business to another level, taking benefit of everything that this period will teach us!
