Web development & design services for a digital marketing agency.

THE BACKGROUND

Neuralab was approached by a senior partner of a digital marketing agency Motava that builds websites and markets them through various channels, mostly digital.

THE CHALLENGE

Motava digital agency needed a reliable and affordable designer needed to augment their development staff. They found a partner in Neuralab and subcontracted a lot of their design work to them, as well as worked with them on development tasks. The two companies have done multiple projects together.

The particular project reviewed in this case study was redesigning a biotechnical firm’s website built on WordPress with WooCommerce. Neuralab helped Motava consult their client, the biotechnical firm, on the updates needed for an existing website, helped with the selection of the technology, platform, and approach for the new one.

THE SOLUTION

The scope of involvement

Neuralab and Motava designed 20-25 different screens for the redesign of a biotechnical firm’s WordPress website. The Neuralab team was also one of the primary developers for the website.

Who found whom

Motava needed somebody that was more than a freelancer because they tend to disappear or are limited in what they can provide. Neuralab had a smaller team at first, a sense of professionalism and their English was also very good compared to other companies. The cooperation started with smaller design projects then moved into smaller-scale development. The quality of that work was very good, and that made Motava comfortable to send them larger projects.

The cost

Motava spent between $50,000 and $200,000 over the course of the cooperation.

Current status

Motava started working with Neuralab in 2009, and the work is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Evidence that demonstrates the quality and impact of the work

It’s hard to attribute specific metrics because Motava and Neuralab have been working on it together. Most of the work Neuralab does is design-related and some program-related – everything that has been done has been positive. The things that Motava measures is the marketing success for our clients, and that’s done by Motava’s team. However, the effect of Neuralab’s effort is tied to that. They’re a big part of the success of Motava’s clients.

The feedback from the biotech firm has been positive. Neuralab did most of the work on the redesigning of the key technology page. Because of that, sales improved by 65% in the first 90 days. There have definitely been improvements in sales and conversions.
