Renaissance Festival Koprivnica Share: kT dizajn Score Case study score 5.0 Date Published 3 June 2019 Reading Time 2-Minute Read We had a task to design and develop a new website for Renaissance Festival Koprivnica, Croatia. Read Client Review Who Was Our Client? Our client was Koprivnica Tourist Board, they are creators of well-known tourist event called Renaissance Festival. What Was the Previous State of the Website? It was an old website made with custom CMS having an old design, hard to maintain, visually impaired and not mobile friendly. There was also only one language – Croatian, which was not enough for foreign visitors. The event was already established and well-known in Croatia and abroad and with about 50 thousands of visitors from Central Europe. The client wanted to order a new website that would follow his event properly. What Were Our Challenges and How Did We Do It? This event is about the Renaissance period, how could we make a modern and attractive website with such a theme? We have made our own research. First, we went through all similar websites and compared them, we could see good and bad aspects. Then, we had to make all the plans and sketches. We also have made graphics design – elements for the website. We created the web design and web development, and UX/UI. The website was made by using the WordPress CMS with our custom theme and adjustments. There is also multilanguage support now with currently 2 languages, including English. The website has preparations for a future online store which we are currently preparing – online ticket sales with a payment system. What Was the Result of Our Work? We have made a new, and modern, website solution for the client, and we have successfully satisfied his demands. Now the website is adequate for visitors from Croatia and abroad. The number of website visitors has been increased and some new sponsors appeared. This was next level as the client said, the job is well done.
