Software Upgrade for Construction Plan Platform Share: iomico LLC Date Published 1 June 2021 Reading Time 1-Minute Read We identified outdated libraries and created an upgrade plan strategy and documentation. The Client: The Co-Founder of DigiPlan in Austria. They develop and distribute a plan takeoff software for the construction industry that saves up to 80% time for creating a construction offer. The Challenge: To upgrade all project dependencies to the latest versions which included 2 major version updates of the core UI/MVVM library and to do some code refactoring required to add new features. The Solution: We identified all outdated libraries of the project and planned an upgrade strategy for each one. Also, we created documentation for the platform. The Results: We completed the project on time and on budget. We were also able to do improvements/refactoring of the existing codebase that was not planned at the beginning.
