An outline of how RabIT Solutions developed the official mobile application of the Szekszárd wine region to help local wineries promote their products and services

The Client

The location of the Szekszárd wine region is slightly different from the other large Hungarian wine regions. The different wineries are located relatively far apart, which is not advantageous from a tourism point of view as it makes it difficult for visitors to find their way around. The goal of the wineries of Szekszárd was to unite the wine region as one and to jointly promote the countless possibilities offered by the wine region.

The Challenge

The wineries decided to contact a digital marketing agency from Budapest to help them with this project. The agency approached us to form a partnership and create a mobile application that unites the local wineries and enables visitors to navigate through the whole region. The entire marketing campaign of the wineries was subsequently built around the mobile application.

The Solution

With the assistance of the completed cross-platform mobile application, anyone can effortlessly explore the countless possibilities offered by the local wineries. Visitors can discover all the wine cellars, restaurants, hotels, and tourist attractions on a single platform. The application also includes a built-in map equipped with GPS to facilitate easy navigation through the whole wine region. The integrated event calendar enables users to stay up-to-date with upcoming events and special offers.

The Results

The completed mobile application has helped modernize the digital image of the wine region and has provided a way for local wineries to find a new form of collaboration. It has become much easier for visitors to find the information they are looking for, to navigate through the wine region, and to always stay up-to-date with the local events. Based on the positive feedback from early users, the wineries are expecting a significant traffic increase in the upcoming years.
