Over the years, we have realized that technology and work is evolving: teams, tools and the way we work should evolve too. Everything is changing.

Everything that was designed was for print media and advertising strategies were focused on newspapers, magazines and television, very few things were for digital and a website was rarely made, despite the fact that we already worked on computers and sent information by email.

In 2010, when we started this great adventure called pgiovas, we decided to focus on the new: web development. We realized that the digital trend was growing rapidly, that a company could not exist without a website and that digital platforms would be very attractive to users.

As time went by, more and more clients asked us to generate content for their social networks, and with 2 images a week and a very simple copy, it was enough for their follower base to grow. Today, everything is different.

These are some of the changes we have had to adapt to:

Websites: the important thing was the design and the display of the information, we focused on the design for desktop computers. Today we must not only take into account the desktop design, but we must also think about the design for mobile devices, the loading time, the originality of the images and the user experience, among other things.

Social networks: 2 or 3 posts a week with a striking image and a short explanatory text were enough. Today we have to think about a positioning strategy that generates reach and engagement, focus on the target audience, add hashtags, a call to action button, and above all the investment that we will allocate to each of the posts.

Search Engines: when we started, it was necessary to notify Google that we had created a new website and that we wanted it to index it so that it appeared in searches, to appear on the first page you had to pay and a content strategy was not thought of for organic positioning, only simple search keywords were added to the content. Currently, Google automatically indexes any website and its content, and you have to fight with paid and organic content to appear on the first page of the search engine, there is the use of keywords, short tail keywords and long tail keywords. You have to make a very detailed evaluation of the competition to be able to overcome them.

Platforms: we went from software installed on your computer to online platforms and now to APPS. The change of software to online platforms allowed piracy to decrease since we changed copying files and installers for a username and password. Today, all you have to do is download an APP from your cell phone and you already have what you need, with more technology and better graphics than before.

Design programs: before knowing how to use Corel Draw, Photoshop or Illustrator was a skill that not everyone had. Today we have free platforms that generate images with design and Artificial Intelligence platforms that generate 3D models for us in a few seconds.

Without a doubt, technology has evolved by leaps and bounds in recent years. The way we learn and absorb information is no longer the same. What other changes can we expect in the coming years?
