Shared-Economy marketplace YourParkingSpace is the online parking marketplace where you’ll find parking spaces, driveways and garages for rent throughout the UK YourParkingSpace now has over 350,000 monthly users in more than 50 cities in the UK. The company launched in 2006 and underwent a significant re-launch in 2014.

Netsells have been partners with YourParkingSpace for many years now, working to build, maintain and enhance their shared economy platform. We built and continue to manage the back office system used by over 40 London based staff, alongside designing and developing the website and mobile applications for both Android and iOS.

The Brief

After experiencing substantial growth, YourParkingSpace wanted to ensure that they had the infrastructure required to service a rapidly growing user base of landlords and tenants across multiple endpoints, devices and locations.

Alongside working seamlessly across web, iOS and Android, the platform also needed to resiliently deal with fluctuating traffic levels, varied booking schedules and real-time inventory updates.

YourParkingSpace had also built up a number of third party partnerships, including third-party car park operators and referring platforms such as confused.com. Each of these partnerships required a secure API integration in order to consistently process and provide data.

Solution

We worked alongside YourParkingSpace as an extension of their team to re-develop their existing platform and take it to a wider market with a vastly increased feature set. Alongside providing a stable and fully functional platform, we built and implemented a number of features to help drive revenue and profitability:

Results

YourParkingSpace’s iOS and Android applications currently have over 100,000 downloads and processes around 16,000 bookings per month. The platform has also gathered over 75,000 TrustPilot “excellent” rated reviews.
